Chapli Kebabs

Hello Friends!

Like I mentioned in my last post, the best companion for Biryani is Kebab! Not just that, it also works great as an appetizer.  Today’s dish, Chapli kebabs is one such recipe and will be delicious with Goli Biryani (Check my earlier posts for reference)

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 kg. keema of mutton/beef (minced meat, parboiled and well drained)
  • 2 tbl spn gram flour(besan)
  • 1 tbl spn cornflourFB_IMG_1431443515438
  • 2 tbl spn coriander seeds(roasted and crushed)
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds(roasted and crushed)
  • 4 green chilies(finely chopped)
  • 1 tbl spn garlic paste
  • 2 onions (finely chopped)
  • 1 big tomato (seeded and finely chopped)
  • 3 tbl spn coriander leaves(finely chopped)
  • 3 tbl spn chopped mint leaves
  • 1/4 cup pomegranate seeds
  • 1/4 cup pomegranate seeds(crushed)/2tbl spn aril powder(anardana chura)
  • 1 egg
  • Ghee to fry

Method:
Mix all the above ingredients well and knead lightly. Make kebabs and refrigerate for 30 mins.Shallow fry in medium heat till the meat is well cooked. The desired color for the kebabs should be golden brown. When you feel they are ready and well cooked, take them out on a paper napkin and serve hot!

(You can also sprinkle Chaat Masala or lime over the kebabs before you serve, for flavor)
(If your mince mixture is very moist refrigerate for 15 mins more,before making the kebabs.)

    • Basically you may add all Indian spices like cumin,ginger paste,garam masala as per your choice,but here it’s not necessary.By marinating minced meat,you may use raw minced meat too..in that case ginger garlic paste is very much needed..
